Science education will be changed by Lab-Aids, a publisher and developer of interactive, fact-based science programs situated in Long Island.

Lab-Aids, a longtime innovator in classroom scientific courses based on research, is now expanding its business to keep up with rising demand. Jonathan Atkins, President of Lab-Aids, said, “We spent the summer applying our Guiding Principles to plan out strategic realignment compatible with our core principles.” The need for research-based, current, and hands-on science among teachers, parents, and students has been well-known for 60 years. Lab-Aids reorganized its management team to broaden access to its ground-breaking initiatives and educational resources. Their new EVP of Business Development, Angela Amundsen, is essential to this strategy. Amundsen declares that this is an exciting time for Lab-Aids. “We want to reach more instructors and students with our excellent resources and initiatives.”

To give students hands-on experience, Lab-Aids has been creating, manufacturing, and publishing core curriculum and supplemental programs for nearly 60 years. Oceans of Data Institute, SEPUP, and Tinkering Labs are just a few of the research-based curriculum developers that Lab-Aids exclusively publishes for. Over two-thirds of the instructional days for students using Lab-Aids courses are dedicated to screen-free laboratories and research.
