Check the Qualifying Criteria for NEET UG 2023

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will administer the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) on May 7, 2023, from 2 pm to 5:20 pm. The admission exam will be administered in 13 different languages using pen and paper. In all medical institutes, the NEET is held for undergraduate medical education admissions. The Military Nursing Scheme (MNS) applicants seeking admission to the BSc Nursing programme, which is offered at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals, will also use the NEET score.

Qualifying Criteria: 

  1. Candidates who are taking the qualifying test (class 12) may take the NEET exam, but they will not be qualified for admission to undergraduate programmes if the required pass rate is not achieved at the time of the first round of counselling. 
  1. Private applicants or those who have finished class 12 in an open school are not permitted to take the NEET exam.
  1. It would be required to pass the Intermediate Science Examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
  2. Candidates must have passed the BSc examination from an Indian university in at least two of the following subjects: physics, chemistry, biology (botany, zoology), and biotechnology. Additionally, the applicants need have passed the prior qualifying exam in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
