Study Abroad: University of Arizona offers Global Wildcat Scholarship to International Students
The University of Arizona is offering the Global Wildcat Award for incoming freshmen and transfer students. Interested candidates can apply for the scholarships at the official University of Arizona website — everywhere.arizona.edu.
Students can receive rewards from $5,500 to $22,000 through these scholarships each academic year. The University of Arizona assists students in calculating expenses such as tuition, fees, books, living costs, and necessary health insurance.
To be considered for a Global Wildcat First-Year Award, all you need to do is submit your completed admission application by the application deadline.
As a rule, the award must be used the semester for which it was first offered.
Eligibility
- A limited number of merit-based scholarships will be awarded to international students based upon their application for admission who exhibit outstanding academic records and test scores (TOEFL, IELTS, and PTE Academic).
- Offers are non-negotiable and are not increased to match offers from other institutions and remain the same as the initial offer for continuing students, even if a student improves their GPA at Arizona.
- Awards are for undergraduate studies only.
- Conditionally admitted students who enroll in the CESL U-Track Pathway and successfully complete one semester in the programme and enroll full-time at the University of Arizona the following semester will be awarded the scholarship they would have qualified for originally.
- If a student is classified as an Arizona resident, this scholarship will be adjusted to cover a proportional amount of resident tuition, if eligible.
It’s important to keep in mind that this award cannot be combined with any other tuition award, including sponsored students, some departmental tuition awards, the Arizona-Sonoran Tuition Award, National Merit Finalist, National Scholar, Transfer Tuition Scholarship, Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, some ROTC Tuition Awards, and some departmental tuition awards depending on type and amount.
Students not meeting the standard, minimum renewal criteria posted above but who maintain the following requirements will be granted an automatic grace period for the following academic year.
