US Issues Record 90,000 Visas To Indian Students
The United States has issued a record number of visas to students from India in the months of June, July and August. The US Mission in India announced on X (formerly Twitter) that more than 90,000 visas were issued to the aspirants from India who filed applications to pursue their higher education from the US.

The US Mission greeted the Indian students by saying, “Congratulations and best wishes to all the students who have chosen the United States to make their higher education goals a reality.”
The figures were made public while the US Mission was finishing up the session’s application process. “That’s it, folks! We worked as a team and used creativity to make sure that all qualified applicants got to their programs on time, according to the announcement.
India surpassed China in 2022 to take the top spot among all nations for the number of foreign students studying in the US. According to statistics, there were over 207,000 Indian students studying abroad in the US in 2020.
According to a recent research, more Indian students are choosing to pursue their higher education abroad. The increase is due to streamlined application processes, financial help, and scholarships that international colleges are providing to entice students from India.
Earlier, France had also stated its intention to accept over 30,000 Indian students. By 2030, the nation hopes to increase the number of Indian students enrolled. The objective will be fulfilled by promoting academic achievement, strengthening cultural relations, and deepening friendship between the two nations.
