Study Abroad: University of Arizona Accepting Applications for Global Wildcat Scholarships
The University of Arizona is offering scholarships to its undergraduate and transfer international students for the academic year 2024-25. University of Arizona’s Global Wildcat Scholarships award between $5,000 and $23,000.
Candidates can apply for the Global Wildcat Scholarship at the University of Arizona website everywhere.arizona.edu/apply/undergraduate.
The amount of the scholarship will be distributed after deducting the applicable year’s tuition. The prize rises up to a reward of $23,000 for students who maintain a GPA of 4.0 at the time of application, starting at a reward of $5,000 for students with a GPA of 3.0 and above.
International undergraduate students who are enrolled at the University of Arizona are eligible to receive the Global Wildcat Award on a yearly basis. At the time their application is submitted, they are automatically granted eligibility for the scholarship.
In order to be considered for the award, applicants must also “demonstrate exceptional academic achievements” and have specific GPA requirements met in addition to test results from the TOEFL, IELTS, and PTE academic.
Once chosen, students who satisfy the requirements for the Global Wildcat Award scholarship will be notified by email.
The scholarship “not only acknowledges their dedication to studies but also empowers the students to pursue their educational journey without financial concerns,” according to the statement.
The university, which was founded in 1885, is well known for being student-focused and has been recognized by the US Department of Education as a Hispanic Serving Institution. According to the National Science Foundation, the university will be among the top 20 public universities in terms of research spending in 2021, and it is a top Research 1 school with $824 million in yearly research spending.
