The St. George’s University School of Medicine establishes an international student scholarship program.
A merit-based scholarship available only to its international students has been launched by the St. George’s University (SGU) School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. All incoming overseas students are eligible for the SGU Academic Award, which is given out based on their acceptance grades.
In addition to the overseas Peace Bursary and Global Scholars Bursary that are already in place, prospective overseas students are eligible for the newly established academic excellence scholarship award. A student may be eligible for more than one award. The merit-based scholarship seeks to recognize and honor students’ scholastic achievements based on their anticipated academic performance.
The scholarship letter from SGU will include the estimated breakdown of total fees as well as the scholarship allocation per term. This will include the following:
- Tuition
- Accommodation
- Some associated living expenses
The total sum will be shown after the scholarships and grants have been subtracted, giving an idea of the future financial needs.
Understanding how education will play a critical role in determining the direction of healthcare, SGU places a high priority on education and makes significant investments in it. The institution claimed that the enlarged awards portfolio demonstrates its dedication to students, which goes above and beyond the classroom to meet each applicant’s unique needs as well as those of their families and offer all-encompassing support.
