University of Galway Invites Applications for Global Achievement Scholarships

Applications are being accepted for the “Global Achievement Scholarships 2024–2025” at the University of Galway in Ireland. These scholarships are intended for undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Business, Public Policy, and Law as well as the College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Celtic Studies.

Under the scholarship, eligible applicants seeking admission in the colleges will receive a €2,000 reduction in tuition fees for their first year of undergraduate study.

Applying for scholarships

All eligible candidates will be automatically considered based on their academic performance and personal statement; no separate application is needed. The successful candidates for this study abroad scholarship must meet the requirements listed in their offer letter for a full-time undergraduate course from the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies or the College of Business, Public Policy, and Law, be self-funded, and be assessed as international for fee purposes.

They also need to have obtained a spot in one of these designated colleges’ eligible programs at the University of Galway, beginning in September 2023, for full-time study.


To qualify for this scholarship, successful candidates must be:

— Assessed as international for fee purposes

— Self-funded (i.e. not receive funding from any other external sources such as government or employer sponsorship).

The should also have:

— Met the conditions outlined in your full-time undergraduate course offer letter

— Secured a place for full-time study at the University of Galway on an eligible programme starting in September 2024.
