The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut) and Vehant Technologies have signed an agreement to jointly teach BTech, MTech and PhD students. Vehant Technologies is an AI/ML-based smart security and surveillance solutions provider.

According to a statement from NIT Calicut, the partnership will enable joint projects between students, faculty, and Vehant’s R&D team. These projects will center on the creation and application of AI/ML technologies in security domains like physical security, surveillance, traffic monitoring, and enterprise analytics.

The statement also stated that both signing parties have committed to using their joint initiatives to significantly advance both industry and academia.

In order to fully realize each other’s potential, Vehant and NIT Calicut have mutually agreed to collaborate across a range of AI/ML domains and related fields. Faculty at NIT Calicut will provide academic consulting and participate in initiatives that Vehant suggests because they have similar interests.
