IIT Delhi Opens Application for Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship 2024

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has opened the application window to register for the undergraduate summer research fellowship. The students at different engineering institutes (except the IITs) in India or abroad who have completed at least two years of study and are amongst the top 10 ranks in their respective programmes or branches will be eligible to apply. The IIT Delhi fellowship can be completed between May 14 and July 12 over the course of eight to twelve weeks. The link for applications will be live until March 20 at 5 p.m. By the second week of April, the list of applicants who were chosen for the fellowship will be available.

IIT Delhi Fellowship Details

The fellowship will pay for domestic travel expenses to and from IIT Delhi (train-sleeper class only). Those who make the short list for the fellowship will also be granted accommodations while visiting the institute, including boarding. There will also be a fellowship payment of Rs 500 per week.

The students will not be charged a registration fee by IIT Delhi, even though they will be registered there as visiting students. It will be necessary for the chosen student to obtain insurance coverage for all possible outcomes during their time at this institution. According to IIT Delhi, the student will be responsible for paying the insurance premiums, which should include coverage for accidents and unintentional deaths.

When applying, students must upload a no-objection certificate (in PDF format) from their parent institution specifying the start and end dates of their full-time research project at IIT Delhi as part of the fellowship program.
