IGNOU Re-extends January 2024 Admission Registration Deadline Till March 31

The Indira Gandhi National Open University(IGNOU) today re-extends the last date to March 31, to apply for fresh admissions for January 2024 academic year. Interested candidates can apply at the official website — ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

After their admission has been confirmed, qualified students may also submit an application for government scholarships through the national scholarship portal at scholarships.gov.in. Students will now have an additional 10 days to register for the programs if they plan to apply for the IGNOU January 2024 session, which will be offered in both online and distance learning formats.

IGNOU January 2024 programmes: How to register 

Step 1: Go to the official website – ignou.ac.in

Step 2: Click on ‘Register Online’ followed by ‘Fresh Admissions’

Step 3: Click on the ‘New Registrations’ tab

Step 4: Fill all the required registration details

Step 5: With the login details received on the email ID and phone number, log in using the same and fill in all the details required

Step 6: Select the desired programme, fill in all other required details and submit the application.

Step 7: Submit the form and save the page for future reference.

Things to keep ready for admissions

— Scanned photograph and signature (each less than 100 KB)

— A scanned copy of relevant educational qualification (less than 200 KB)

— Copy of experience certificate (if any) (less than 200 KB)

— Scanned copy of category certificate, if SC/ST/OBC (less than 200 KB)

The deadline for new applicants’ applications was originally scheduled for February 29. However, it was later extended to March 10 and then again to March 20, and it has now been extended once more to March 31.
