NMC Revises NEET PG 2024 Schedule Due to Elections; Exam on June 23

The NEET PG 2024 exam date was updated today by the National Medical Commission (NMC). June 23 will now be the date of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG). The new NBE NEET PG 2024 dates state that the counseling for admission will take place from August 5 to October 15, with the NEET PG 2024 result to be revealed by July 15. August 15, 2024, will be the deadline for determining eligibility to take the NEET PG 2024.

The dates for the start of new session and the last date of joining are September 16 and October 21 respectively. The NEET PG 2024 earlier was set to be held on July 7. 

The Postgraduate Medical Education (Amendment) Regulations, 2018 have been replaced by new regulations, which state that the NEET PG exam will remain in effect until the NExT is operational for PG medical program admissions. NExT is scheduled to launch in 2025, but it will be one year later. The exam was originally scheduled to begin in 2023.

The tentative date of the NEET PG 2024 exam was first announced as March 3, but it was later moved to July 7. The NBE has changed the dates of the NEET PG exam for the second time.
