University of Strathclyde & British Council offers a scholarship together

University of Strathclyde, Faculty of Engineering in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign offers one scholarship to students from either India, Malaysia or Thailand applying for postgraduate courses within the Faculty of Engineering.

A press release from the University of Strathclyde states that postgraduate students from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam can access top-notch higher education opportunities in the UK through the GREAT Scholarships program, which was introduced by the British Council in collaboration with 49 UK universities.

The scholarship program provides a minimum of £10,000 in financial support to a student enrolled in a one-year postgraduate course at Strathclyde University’s Faculty of Engineering. According to the press release, candidates must be citizens of Thailand, Malaysia, or India.

Engineering fields include biomedical, chemical, civil and environmental, design, manufacture, and engineering management; electronics, electrical, mechanical, and aerospace; naval architecture, ocean and marine; aeronautical; civil, environmental, mechanical; naval architecture, ocean engineering; renewable energy; and marine engineering.

Applicants must normally have an offer for a postgraduate course in the Faculty of Engineering for September 2024 intake and a 2:1 (or equivalent) in their undergraduate degree in order to be considered. The deadline is May 3 2024.
