University of Guelph Offers UG Scholarships Worth 2,000 Dollar for International Students
The University of Guelph, located in Ontario, Canada, is offering a Welcome to Canada President’s Scholarship worth $2,000 for all international undergraduate students.
In the press announcement about the scholarship, vice chancellor Dr. Charlotte Yates stated, “We think a diverse and global community enriches the distinct student experience we are known for.” The University will also grant this new $2,000 scholarship in addition to its International Entrance Scholarships, which range in value from $5,500 to $9,500 and are given to foreign students who are pursuing post-secondary education for the first time in appreciation of their exceptional academic performance.
International undergraduate and master’s students are guaranteed residency for the duration of their studies at the university in addition to the Welcome to Canada President’s Scholarship. During their first year of study, housing will be guaranteed for international PhD students.
Eligibility criteria
Indian applicants must possess a first division Class 12 board certificate.
In order to pursue a bachelor’s degree in science or commerce, students who do not have class 12 math proficiency must enroll in MHF4U Math for degrees in biological sciences or commerce and MCV4U math for degrees in physical science at ilc.org. Depending on the degree or major, they must receive a minimum of 75 to 80 percent in math.

The university has been admitting Indian students for more than ten years. This year, from May 17 to May 26, university officials will be in India to provide on-the-spot admission to eligible undergraduate applicants who want to apply and hear back right away.
