IGNOU Begins Admission for July 2024 Academic Session

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has stared the fresh admission cycle for undergraduate, postgraduate, and other programmes for the July 24 academic year. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official websites — ignouiop.samarth.edu.in and ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in

June 30 is the deadline for applications to all of IGNOU’s programs. The university grants degrees, advanced degrees, postgraduate degrees, certificates, and diplomas.

The deadline for submitting the IGNOU registration was previously extended to May 15.

IGNOU Admissions 2024: How to apply 

Step 1: Visit the official website — ignouiop.samarth.edu.in or ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in

Step 2: Click on the new registrations and create your account.

Step 3: Key in your required credentials 

Step 4: Fill the application form. Save, submit, and pay the fees.

Step 5: Download and save the application form for future reference.

Through ODL and online modes, IGNOU offers over 290 UG, PG, PG diploma, diploma, certificate, and awareness programs. Students can enroll in undergraduate and graduate IGNOU ODL courses in certificate, diploma, and degree formats. The university offers a wide variety of courses in the areas of the arts, business, management, science, social sciences, languages, fashion, tourism, information technology, and many other subjects through its open and remote learning programs.

Eligibility criteria

Students must have a 10+2 from any accredited educational board with a minimum of 50% in order to be eligible for admission to UG courses. Any student who wishes to enroll in a postgraduate program at Indira Gandhi National Open University must first earn a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university with at least 50% of the possible points.

All UG courses require a registration fee of Rs 300, which can be paid with a debit or credit card or using net banking. Academic fees for the postgraduate programme range from Rs 8,400 to Rs 45,000.
