IIM Kashipur Welcomes Students of Different Streams, Age, Background in EMBA (Analytics)

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kashipur today hosted its fourth batch of Executive MBA (Analytics) with a cohort of 65 students, of whom 30 per cent were female.

The focus of this course is on cutting-edge fields like data analysis, strategy, management, artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, and business analytics. Over the course of two years, the 900 hours of instruction are divided into six on-campus modules, one for each term, and 25 days total.

With students from more than 20 fields, the institute asserts that this batch is among the most diversified at the institution. People with backgrounds in fashion design, cyber security, data science, management, chartered accounting, mining engineering, senior accounts executive of an entertainment company, associate director of a pharmaceutical company, and more make up this diverse group of students, who range in age from mid-thirties to late-thirties.

The 65 students in this batch have varied backgrounds and skill sets and are from 14 different states. The majority of them already hold positions at prestigious international corporations including American Express, Infosys, TCS, Thomson Reuters, Amazon, and Adobe.

This year’s final cohort of 83 students, comprising 25% female students, was awarded their degrees on April 27. Up to 73% of the students who passed had backgrounds in engineering, 13% in agriculture, arts, economics, hospitality management, marketing, media, and public administration, 5% in finance and healthcare, and 4% in science.

A few chosen students were also offered the chance to visit Alba Graduate Business School in Greece for an international immersion experience, with an average work experience duration of 9.16 years.
