The Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) Department of Computer Engineering will host a three-week hybrid short-term training program (STTP) in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). Participants in the course may be certificate holders, undergraduates, postgraduates, or PhD holders with a background in mathematics.

There are 130 places available for the course, 80 of which will be filled on a first-come, first-served (FSFS) basis for offline instruction, and 50 of which will be filled online. The 50-hour short-term training course will begin on July 1 and run through July 19.

The short-term training program consists of 20 hours of theory sessions and 30 hours of hands-on practical instruction. The course will be divided into five modules: machine learning methods, applied data science with Python, deep learning for computer vision with Keras and Tensorflow, and deep learning for natural language processing with Keras and Tensorflow. The first module will cover the fundamentals of AI and Python.

The course’s resource people will be experts from JMI and other reputable foreign and central universities, IITs, NIITs, IIITs, and the industry.

Students who are interested in learning Urdu are also encouraged to apply to JMI and the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). Students who take the course in Hindi or English for a year are eligible. Admissions are accepted all year round. Interested parties may apply via jmi.ac.in, the official website.
