The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar, and the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, have launched a double-degree master’s programme, which will allow students to pursue two separate postgraduate degrees from either institution, simultaneously.
Data science and artificial intelligence, bio-nano materials science and engineering, environmental engineering and management, remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS), geotechnical and earth resources engineering, water engineering and management, and sustainable energy transition are among the postgraduate courses covered by the double-degree program.
Interested parties have until July 15 to apply for the August semester.
“Students will attend the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar in India for their second and third semesters, and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), in Thailand, for their first and fourth semesters. According to an IIT Gandhinagar spokeswoman, “They will have the chance to learn from knowledgeable faculty and academics from both institutions, explore interdisciplinary research domains, and have access to world-class laboratories and infrastructure.”
“To ensure that students graduate as professionals who are ready for the market, IITGN and AIT will also provide ample networking opportunities with industry leaders, business executives, NGOs, and governmental agencies throughout Asia,” the spokesperson stated. The institutes will also host career and placement fairs.
According to the spokesman, both universities will help students with the e-visa application procedure and offer on-campus housing to guarantee a seamless transfer between the campuses.
