This year’s exam consisted of 60 questions from four sections: physics, mathematics, chemistry, and biology, according to the official booklet. However, the candidates’ top three portions were used to determine the final score; therefore, the exam had a total of 180 points.
According to the question paper from the previous year, candidates received 2.5 marks for each right response, one mark was subtracted for each wrong response, and no points were subtracted for questions that were not attempted.
To be deemed eligible, candidates must achieve a minimum admissible percentile (MAP) and greater than the section-wise minimum admissible score (SMAS) in at least three sections.
The candidates’ objections to the release of the provisional answer key, for which they were given time between July 5 and July 7, are taken into account before the final result is announced.
