IIT Guwahati, E&ICT Academy Launch Data Analytics and Generative AI Programme

The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT G) and E&ICT Academy have launched new professional certificate programmes in Data Analytics and Generative AI in collaboration with Simplilearn. The programmes will be available online. Interested students can apply for the new certificate programmes at the official website – simplilearn.com by July 21.

The program at IIT Guwahati and E&ICT Academy, Generative AI for Data Analytics, is designed to address the growing need for qualified professionals in data analytics and related fields. The entrance cost is Rs 1,19,900 (inclusive of all applicable program charges and taxes).

The candidate will benefit from over 25 practical projects, an immersive IIT Guwahati campus, hackathons, live online instruction from industry professionals, interactive masterclasses led by IIT Guwahati academics and IBM experts, and IBM’s “ask me anything” sessions. In addition, the course will cover a wide range of topics, including generative AI, prompt engineering, data visualization with Tableau, programming basics, SQL, Excel, and mathematical and statistical computing.

The candidate will also receive access to Simplilearn’s JobAssist program and the executive alumina status of IIT Guwahati and E&ICT.

Eligibility for Data Analytics and Generative AI

– The applicants must have a bachelor’s certificate

– A minimum 50 per cent score in their graduation bachelor scorecard

– Prior work experience is not mandatory, however encouraged

– Candidate without coding experience or specific technology can also apply

The program is intended to accommodate individuals with a variety of educational backgrounds and provide them with generative AI and data analytics skills, according to the official release.

“The job market is witnessing a significant surge in demand for professionals skilled in data analytics and AI,” stated Anand Narayanan, Chief Product Officer of Simplilearn. McKinsey reports that the need for competent talent is urgent since the demand for talented workers in these fields is rising by 50% yearly.
