The Emerging Global Leader Scholarship Program at American University Welcomes International Students

American University in Washington, DC is now accepting applications for the Emerging Global Leader Scholarship. Two foreign students who require a non-immigrant visa in order to study in the US are covered by the award. It also pays for all other costs, including meals, lodging, and full tuition.

The intention is to provide chances and education to the recipients of this award. It will integrate global participation, leadership development at the university, and academic success. Non-billable expenses such as flights, taxes, mandatory health insurance, books, and additional charges are not reimbursed by the Emerging Global Leader Scholarship 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Achieve a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 4.0 in grades 9-12
  2. Provide evidence of dedication to community service, leadership, and volunteerism
  3. Demonstrate a commitment to making a positive impact in their home country
  4. Be on track to graduate by June 2025.

English language requirements:

  1. IELTS score of 7.0 or higher (with subscores of 6.0 or higher)
  2. SAT reading subscore of 33 or higher
  3. PTE score of 65 or higher
  4. Duolingo score of 125 or higher (with subscores of 115 or higher)
  5. Cambridge Assessment English score of 185 or higher (with subscores of 169 or higher)
  6. ACT score of 29 or higher
  7. SAT Digital version score of 630 or higher

Furthermore, candidates need to provide their TOEFL exam results from after May 31, 2017, with paper-based exam subscores of 24 or above.

How to apply:

  1. Submit your application through either the Coalition Application or Common Application
  2. Ensure all required documents are attached to your application
  3. Complete and submit the AU Declaration of Finances Form (AU DFF)
  4. Provide a bank letter confirming a minimum balance of US$4,000
  5. Ensure both the AU DFF and bank letter are submitted along with your application.
