Hyderabad processed the maximum US student visas this year
Hyderabad’s US Consulate General said in a statement that it processed the highest number of US student visas in India this year.
“Hyderabad has adjudicated more student visas this year than any other post in Mission India,” said the consulate.
The consulate described the Super Saturday drive it held today as “just another way we are demonstrating our commitment to our countries’ strong relationship.” “Today we welcomed hundreds of petition-based worker visa and visitor visa applicants to meet the high demand for all visa categories.”
The Hyderabad consulate held the Super Saturday drive in April of this year in order to handle the increased demand for visitor visas, with 1500 candidates passing through the visa interview process.
Similar drills were carried out in March by the US Consulate in Mumbai and the US Embassy in New Delhi, which respectively handled over 1,000 and 1500 applications for visiting visas.
The ‘Super Saturday’ drives, which started off irregularly in 2022, have now been held every three months, demonstrating the dedication to expediting the visa application procedure and meeting the growing demand.
Ambassador Garcetti emphasized the mission’s efforts to expedite visa processing in the face of extraordinary demand, while highlighting the importance of creating relationships between persons through work, travel, and study in the United States.
Building on the strong foundation of the US-India alliance, the US mission in India hopes to beat prior records for visa processing by utilizing expanded staffing and technical developments.
Data indicates a sixty percent increase in applications over the prior year, and the majority of Indians applying for US visas are from India.
