University of Birmingham Announces Scholarships for September Intake Programmes
The University of Birmingham has announced various scholarships for Indian students in celebration of its 125 Years of Excellence. These scholarships are available for postgraduate taught (PGT) Master’s degrees starting in September 2025, offering funding amounts between £4,000 and £5,000.
More than fifty scholarships will be awarded to deserving Indian students on the basis of academic merit. Applications for these scholarships must be submitted before May 2025. According to the official website, overseas students enrolled in the university in September 2025 are eligible for the £4,000 scholarship, while students from India in particular may get prizes of up to £5,000.
Scholarships at the University of Birmingham
Important information regarding the student scholarships is as follows:
— £4,000 Awards: Available for all eligible students enrolling in most postgraduate Master’s programs, except MSc Management, MSc International Business, MSc Marketing, and MBA programs. There is no cap on the number of £4,000 scholarships awarded.
-£5,000 Awards: These are only given to exceptional students who have been chosen through the India Chancellor’s Scholarship program. All Master’s programs, including those in business fields, are eligible for this award. The scholarship registration process has not yet begun. Applicants must go to the university’s official website.
From the shortlist created by the India Chancellor’s Scholarship applications, students will be selected on the basis of their academic merit.
University of Birmingham: Eligibility
–The candidate must apply for and receive an offer to study a taught Masters degree at the University of Birmingham (UK campus) for the 2025/26 academic year.
-The student must reside in one of the following countries: South Africa, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, Pakistan, Iran, India, Kenya, Chile, and so on. Please go to the University’s official website and search for the scholarship area for a complete list.
-The student must begin enrolled in a full-time program offered at the UK campus in September or October 2025 and be an international fee payer for tuition reasons as determined by the university.
-The MBA, MSc Management, MSc Marketing, and MSc International Business programs are not eligible for the scholarship.

If a student meets the eligibility criteria for the £4,000 Scholarship, this amount will be automatically deducted from their tuition fees. Candidates only need to pay the admission deposit by the deadline specified in their offer letter. “There is no need for a separate scholarship application—just select your Master’s course!” read the website.
