IIT Palakkad Invites UG, PG Students for Paid Summer Internship

IIT Palakkad has announced six-week long residential summer internship programme for undergraduate and postgraduate students with hands-on research experience. In May, the program will begin. The shortlisted students will be exposed to a range of research fields and have the chance to master both software and hardware analysis techniques.

The internship is open to both Indian and foreign nationals who meet the requirements. This internship program is not open to IIT Palakkad students, and international students enrolled in Indian universities will receive the same treatment as Indian students.

The internship will begin between May 21 and July 2025, and applications will close on March 18.

IIT Palakkad Internship: Eligibility criteria

– Postgraduate students, including 4th and 5th-year integrated master’s students in streams like science, engineering, and humanities.

– Students studying in the third and fourth year of their undergraduate course in engineering, technology, and science streams are also eligible to apply.

Candidates must have a working email address to register on the Institute’s official website. For more instructions, a system-generated email will be issued. Applicants can seek help from mailto:summer-internship@iitpkd.ac.in if emails do not arrive.

Academic achievement, research skills, and interest in the available study areas will all be taken into consideration when making the selection.

IIT Palakkad Internship: Benefits and Support

–Selected candidates will receive financial support of Rs 8000 per month, totaling Rs 12000 for the duration of the complete programme.

–Accommodation will be provided on a shared basis, however, students will need to cover hostel room rent and mess charges.

–An internship certificate will be given to those who complete the programme.
