University of Sheffield offers 75 PG scholarships to international students

The University of Sheffield, UK is offering 75 International Postgraduate Taught Merit Scholarships in 2025. Each scholarship is worth £10,000 towards the original tuition fee for a postgraduate taught programme starting in September 2025.

All new overseas students who fulfil the requirements can apply for the scholarships. Candidates need to have a University of Sheffield study offer. The University of Sheffield must start accepting applicants in the fall of 2025.

University of Sheffield: Key dates

–The deadline for scholarship applications is May 12.

–If applicants are offered the scholarship, they will be asked to confirm acceptance of the scholarship and firm their offer by a fixed date.

University of Sheffield: Eligibility criteria

–Distance learning courses are ineligible for a merit scholarship.

–Applicants must receive an offer for a course studied in full at the University of Sheffield.

–For tuition fee purposes applicants must be self-funded and required to pay the overseas tuition fee.

–Applicants must not be a sponsored student

–For scholarship purposes, all MArch programmes are considered as postgraduate taught programmes and are not eligible for undergraduate scholarships.

–Anyone studying a Masters/integrated PhD programme is eligible for a merit scholarship in the Masters element of the programme only.

–These scholarships do not apply to any postgraduate courses where the higher clinical fee is applicable. This includes, but is not exclusive to, the following courses:

–DClinDent Orthodontics
–MClinDent in Orthodontics
–DClinDent Endodontics
–MClinDent in Paediatric Dentistry
–DClinDent Periodontics
–MMedSci in Diagnostic Oral Pathology
–DClinDent Prosthodontics

University of Sheffield: Selection criteria The following criteria will be used by a panel of senior staff members to choose the best applications:

-The applicant should provide examples of accomplishments that demonstrate excellence and innovation in their professional, volunteer, or educational fields.
