UPSC CSE 2025: Last Date to Apply for Prelims Exam Further Extended

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on February 18 extended the last date to apply for the civil services preliminary examination 2025 till February 21. The Commission had earlier extended the application date to February 18.

In a statement posted on its website, the Commission stated that the registration deadline for the Civil Services (Preliminary)-2025 and Indian Forest Service (Preliminary)-2025 tests “has been extended till 21.02.2025 (6 pm).”

Additionally, it stated that applicants will have the opportunity to make corrections “until seven days have passed since the application window closed, which is from February 22, 2025, to February 28, 2025.”

Previously, the online application deadline for the exam was February 11, 2025, at 6 p.m. It is necessary for candidates to apply online through the upsconline.gov.in website.

To choose officers for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS), among other positions, UPSC holds a civil services test every year in three stages: preliminary, mains, and interview.
