Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has released the university prospectus and announced the opening of admissions for the academic session 2025-26. From this academic year, JMI has introduced 14 new courses. Interested candidates can access and download the prospectus, available at – admission.jmi.ac.in and register for the programmes.

The JMI 2025–26 prospectus contains information on eligibility requirements, application deadlines, entrance exam dates, course costs, and length.

Up to 25 programs will be admitted using the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) merit score: nine undergraduate, five graduate, eight diploma, and three advanced diploma programs. JMI stated in the brochure that this is a substantial increase over the previous academic session, when there were 20 programs available through the CUET admissions process.

The four-year Bachelor of Design (BDes) program, the four-year Bachelor of Science (Hons) Computer Science program, the Design and Innovation Certificate, the Textile Design Certificate, and the Certificate in Self-Financed Evening are the new courses offered at JMI. PG Diploma in Plumbing, Lifts, and Fire Safety (Self-Financed); Self-Financed Evening Certificate in Graphic Art (Print Making); Self-financed MFA (Curatorial Practices), MFA (Art Management), MFA (Conceptual Art Practice), MFA (Graphic Art) (Print Making), Self-financed Certificate (Art & Aesthetics), Self-financed Certificate (Creative Photography), Self-financed Certificate (Calligraphy), and Self-financed Certificate (Art Appreciation & Art Writing).

According to a JMI announcement, Vice Chancellor Jamia Millia Islamia Professor Mazhar Asif launched the prospectus online.

In addition to lowering tuition for foreign nationals and NRI wards enrolled in diploma programs offered by the University Polytechnic, JMI has lowered tuition for applicants from SAARC nations in an effort to draw in more international students and NRI wards. There are two seats set out for international students in the BDS program, which admits candidates based on their NEET scores.

Since it can be challenging to obtain visas and travel to India to attend the admission interview as part of the entrance process requirement, foreign persons applying to JMI’s PhD programs can now participate in admission interviews online.
