IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi Announces Admission to Second Batch of MTech and PhD Programmes

Admissions for the second group of students in IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi’s MTech in Energy Transition and Sustainability and Ph.D. in Energy and Sustainability programs are now officially open. The academic semester for the 2025–2026 academic year is scheduled to start in August 2025, and applications are being taken online.
With the successful start of the Ph.D. program in January 2025 and the M.Tech program in January 2024, the Abu Dhabi campus is further solidifying its standing as a regional center for cutting-edge research, engineering, and technology, particularly in light of the global energy shift.
Both recent graduates and working professionals can benefit from the extensive two-year in-person curriculum offered by the M.Tech program. In order to develop the next generation of sustainability leaders, the program explores important topics including energy storage, renewable energy technology, sustainable mobility, and the financial aspects of decarbonization using a multidisciplinary and systems-based approach.
In the meanwhile, the Ph.D. program concentrates on tackling urgent issues in the energy industry, such as improving energy efficiency, lessening the impact on the environment, maintaining grid stability, and encouraging the use of clean energy technology. Doctoral scholars will make contributions to a broad range of important subjects that are in line with the worldwide movement toward NetZero objectives.
Scholarship Opportunity at IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi
The institute offers Ph.D. and M. Tech. applicants tuition waivers and merit-based scholarships. Scholarship applicants must go through a stringent selection procedure that includes interviews, relevant experience, qualifying exam results (if applicable), and academic merit.
