IIM Calcutta, Emeritus Launch AI Focused Strategic Marketing Programme

The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) has launched a new executive education programme titled Strategic Marketing for Leaders: Leveraging AI for Growth, in collaboration with Emeritus. The 18-week online programme is designed for mid- to senior-level professionals aiming to integrate AI-driven strategies into their marketing functions. The new course is aimed at addressing the increasing demand for marketing professionals with AI expertise.

Seventy percent of Indian CEOs anticipate that generative AI would fundamentally alter value creation and delivery, especially in marketing and customer experience, according to the PwC Global CEO Survey 2024. 71% of Indian merchants want to implement generative AI within the next year, according to EY’s The AIdea of India: 2025 research.

The program, which is offered by IIM Calcutta and ranked fifth by NIRF 2024, is accredited by AMBA, EQUIS, and AACSB. It offers instruction in consumer journey mapping, omnichannel strategy, generative AI applications, and predictive analytics. Professionals working in marketing, digital strategy, consultancy, category management, and business development in sectors like retail, fast-moving consumer goods, technology, e-commerce, and media are the target audience.

Prof. Saravana Jaikumar of IIM Calcutta conducts live online sessions in addition to asynchronous video lectures. In addition to simulations and a capstone project, learners will participate in case studies on companies such as Apple, Nike, and Southwest Airlines. Attending a one-day networking event at the IIM Calcutta campus is an additional option for participants.

Developing customer-centric strategies, managing marketing initiatives in dynamic business contexts, and combining traditional marketing frameworks with AI and data analytics are important learning objectives. Additionally, the course covers fundamental subjects including strategy formulation, pricing, performance marketing, and branding.

Who is eligible to apply for the program Strategic Marketing for Leaders?

Participants in the Strategic Marketing for Leaders: Leveraging AI for Growth program must be graduates or diploma holders with at least a 10+2+3 degree. It is intended for individuals at the mid- to senior-level who work in consulting, business strategy, digital marketing, marketing, and related fields. Applications are welcome from anyone hoping to advance into strategic leadership positions or hone their skills in AI-driven marketing.Professionals across industries such as retail, FMCG, technology, e-commerce, and media who are responsible for customer engagement, market expansion, and data-led growth strategies will also find the programme relevant.
