University of Strathclyde Invites Applications for MRes Mathematical Sciences for Sept 2025 Intake

The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, is inviting applications for its MRes Mathematical Sciences course starting in September 2025. The MRes in Mathematical Sciences is an advanced research-focused Master’s degree that students can complete in one year full-time. With an aim to help students advance their research skills through undertaking an original, extended research project supervised by expert staff, as stated in the press release.
Students will gain the abilities necessary to succeed in a research career, whether it is inside or outside of academia. Students who are thinking about pursuing a PhD or a role in research and development at a business or research institute in the future would find the program very interesting.
Eligibility
–A first-class or upper second-class UK Honours degree, or overseas equivalent, in a mathematical sciences-related subject.
–English language minimum score of 6.5 (with no component below 5.5).
Fee & scholarship
For 2025–2026, the worldwide yearly fee is £23,100, or Rs 27,03,508.50. For September 2025 admission, the Faculty of Science is also offering a £5,000 international grant for MRes Mathematical Sciences. The scholarship has the following terms and conditions:
-The £5,000 worth of the Faculty of Science International Scholarship for the MRes in Mathematical Sciences will be subtracted from your tuition costs.
-Recipients must enroll in the MRes in Mathematical Sciences program in September 2025 and maintain all eligibility requirements in order to be eligible for the award.
-There is no way to postpone or move the scholarship to another entrance date.
-There is no need to submit a separate scholarship application. The scholarship will be awarded automatically to all students who fulfill the eligibility requirements.
-Students can only receive one University of Strathclyde scholarship per academic year.
-Applicants will not be given consideration for this scholarship if they do not fulfill all eligibility requirements.
-The Faculty of Science has the last say over scholarship distribution; appeals will not be entertained.
The award will only be applied to tuition costs, and students can apply until September 30. The official website states that candidates who are fully sponsored by a government office or consulate are not eligible for these scholarships.
