The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) Delhi is inviting applications for admission to its three environment management programmes for the academic session 2025-26. The programmes include MSc (Environment Management), MSc (Applied Geoinformatics) and BSc (Environment Management). Interested candidates can check the details and apply on at the university websites – ipu.ac.in and ipu.admissions.nic.in.

By July 30, eligible candidates can submit online applications based on their Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores. The university has stated that admissions will rely on CUET scores once the merit list of national-level tests or university-conducted entrance exams for affiliated programmes is depleted.

The combined application and counseling fee for candidates applying via CUET scores is Rs 2,500. Individuals who have already been admitted via national-level examinations or entrance exams organized by the university cannot apply using CUET scores.

The University School of Environment Management, situated on the Dwarka campus, offers the programmes. Each of the two postgraduate programmes consists of 30 seats, while the undergraduate programme has a total of 60 seats.

According to Prof. Varun Joshi, Dean of the school, the demand for these programmes is increasing globally, given the emphasis on environment management and the application of latest technologies.

This year, GGSIPU has added a quota for orphan children, alongside the existing Single Girl Child quota. Last year saw the introduction of the Single Girl Child Quota. The quota will come into effect starting in the 2025-26 academic session. According to the new quota, each university will reserve one extra seat in its schools and programmes for selected students who qualify for a 100 percent fee waiver under the EWS scheme.

An admission chatbot service has been launched by IPU. The chatbot service for admissions aims to offer immediate responses to questions concerning admissions across different programmes for the upcoming session. The University’s main website — ipu.ac.in provides the link to the new service.

Using this service, prospective applicants can get immediate answers to their queries related to admissions in various programmes for the new session, a statement issued by the university said.
