The US Department of State has named 170 colleges and universities nationwide as Fulbright Top Producing Institutions for the 2023–2024 academic year.

This year, about 12 universities were recognized as the top suppliers of US academics and students. Doctorate, master’s, baccalaureate, and special specialty four-year institutions are the different categories on the list.

The University of Southern California, with 26 researchers and students studying, teaching, and conducting research abroad, had the highest number of doctorate applicants joining the overseas mobility program. With four students and three Fulbright scholars, Rollins College won the master’s division.

Twenty-three undergraduates and two scholars were among the 25 candidates that Bowdoin College had for the baccalaureate program. The Art Institute of Chicago has seven nominees overall among its Special Focus institutions.

According to Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs Lee Satterfield, this year’s list reflects “the diversity of America’s higher education community.”

Through the Fulbright Program, committed educators, mentors, and administrators help students and intellectuals reach their full potential and rise to confront today’s global issues. We applaud them and every other Fulbright recipient who is changing the world for the better.

Georgetown was the most popular US university in 2022–2023, while Penn State and the University of Arizona were the most popular universities among scholars. With 40 PhD candidates chosen for the program, Georgetown was ranked first among student programs this year once more.

The institution was followed by Brown University and Harvard University each with 36 doctoral students, and Northwestern, The University of Pennsylvania and Yale University all with 30 participants.
