IIM Bangalore has introduced its first Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), titled ‘From Theory to Practice: Implementing ESG and Sustainability in Business,’ hosted on Swayam, a Government of India initiative designed to provide free, high-quality education across diverse subjects. The course will be imparted in Hindi language.

According to the press release, the 12-week program, which starts on January 24, is intended for executives, working professionals, and MBA and BBA students who wish to get a deeper understanding of sustainable growth and holistic value creation.

For this 30-hour online program, postgraduate enrollment closes on February 28. Students who finish the 12-week course by April 30, 2025, will be qualified to take the May 2025 exam.

Video lectures, e-texts, self-assessments, and discussion boards are all features of Swayam courses. Students can enroll for the exam by paying a little cost and receiving a certificate, even though the training is free for everyone.

The course will be taught by Dr. Aditya Gupta, COO of the TCI-IIMB Supply Chain Sustainability Lab. Gupta has worked with corporations such as Moser Baer, Virgin Mobile, Jindal Group, TVS Group, and Tata Group. Throughout the program, students will have the chance to engage with him and gain knowledge from him.
