The University of San Diego (USD) has introduced a range of online master’s degree programmes tailored “specifically for working professionals in India.” These completely online courses concentrate on essential technology fields, including the MS in Applied Artificial Intelligence, MS in Applied Data Science, MS in Cyber Security Engineering, and MS in Cyber Security Operations and Leadership.

The university states that these courses were previously accessible only to students in the United States, but they are now being offered to learners in India for the first time. The programmes are entirely online and asynchronous, enabling students to finish the 20-month degree at their own pace without the need for live classes.

It is stated that GradRight has been designated as the outreach and student access partner for the programme in India, responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process and providing support during the course.

This structure enables students to finish their coursework at a pace that suits them, all while achieving clearly defined weekly milestones. According to a statement from the university, these full-stack master’s degrees from the University of San Diego are equivalent in academic content and credential to their on-campus counterparts.

Experienced professionals from academia create the curriculum, which is reviewed every year to ensure it aligns with current challenges and technological developments in the real world. The degrees are provided in English, and proof of proficiency is required via IELTS (with a score of 7), Duolingo (with a score of 120), or by having two years of prior education conducted in English.

Students can also participate in an optional two-week on-campus immersion in the US, which provides opportunities for in-person interaction and networking.

Admission and Eligibility

For the Fall 2025 intake, admissions are now open, and the application deadline is August 1. The first day of class is September 2, 2025. Applicants are required to have either a 4-year undergraduate degree with a minimum of a second division or a 3-year degree with first division.

The total cost of the programme is approximately Rs 10.49 lakh. USD is offering scholarships to eligible students in India to increase access to these courses. Financial aid aims to reduce barriers for high-potential candidates seeking to build skills in emerging technology fields.
