UPSC EPFO Recruitment 2025: Application Begins for Enforcement Officer & Assistant PF Commissioner Posts

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting applications for vacancies in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, Ministry of Labour and Employment. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in. The last date to submit online application for the posts is August 18.
Candidates holding a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution are eligible for the positions of enforcement officer or accounts officer. Additionally, anyone with a degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification can apply for the role of assistant provident fund commissioner.
The total number of vacancies announced for the enforcement officer or accounts officer positions is 56, whereas for the assistant provident fund commissioner positions, it is 74.
The Commission will conduct a combined recruitment test (CRT) using pen and paper to shortlist candidates for the interview round for positions in EPFO. The date for the exam will be announced later on the UPSC website.
Weightage of Combined Recruitment Test (CRT) marks and interview marks will be in the ratio of 75:25 for determining the final merit in the instant recruitment cases.
The exams will occur in 78 cities throughout India. With the exception of Chennai, Dispur, Kolkata, and Nagpur, there will be a limit on the number of candidates assigned to each city center. The allocation of Centers will follow a “first-apply-first allot” principle, and when a Center reaches its capacity, it will be frozen. Those applicants who, because of the ceiling, are unable to secure a center of their choice will need to select from the remaining centers. It is recommended for applicants to submit early applications in order to secure their preferred centre.
The responsibilities of enforcement officers, account officers, and assistant provident fund commissioners involve overseeing tasks related to enforcement, recovery, accounting, administration, cash management, legal matters, pension management, and computing. This includes both statutory and administrative duties such as carrying out inquiries. settling claims, general administration, upkeep of cash book/bank statement reconciliation, MIS returns, etc.
